Bee-Friendly Garden
Passionfruit Art Show in Toronto
Gouache, 2017
Be(e) Friendly Garden features a series of 7 gouache illustrations of plants that are bee-friendly. You may already know that the global bee population has decreased severely over the past two decades. Bees don’t just provide us with honey and wax, they are responsible for pollinating approximately 90% of the world’s plants (including fruits, nuts, vegetables, and herbs). Although bees are not our only pollinators, they are our most common pollinators.
So how can you help? Be friendly, plant a bee-friendly garden.
Each illustration has bee(s) playing and relaxing on the plants.
Plants featured: Primrose, Dahlia, Blueberry, Cosmos, Foxglove, Coneflower and Aster.
